Jonathan Yazzie
Jonathan was born and raised in the Navajo Nation. He has been helping his community in Tolani Lake, AZ since 2008. He puts on basketball tournaments to raise funds for youth activities, organizes toy drives for Christmas, provides and installs garden boxes to grow food, coaches youth basketball, softball and volleyball.
Currently, Jonathan is seeking for funds to fix a shower for an elderly couple, make some roof repairs for a few families and buy more seeds and garden boxes for the community.

Most homes on the Rez rely on firewood for heating. There is a huge and almost constant need for firewood, and it is a huge task to get and distribute the wood to all the homes that need them.
Garden Boxes
The Reservation is far from major supermarkets, and getting fresh food is a challenge. By growing their own food, families can meet more of their nutritional needs while reconnecting with ancestral traditions of growing and harvesting.
